  2. Game: The «What If?» Challenge (15 min)
  • Instructions:

    • Write different crazy “What if?” scenarios on slips of paper.

    • Students take turns picking a slip and creating a conditional sentence based on it.

    • Classmates can ask follow-up questions to extend the conversation.

Examples of «What If?» Scenarios:

  1. What if animals could talk?

  2. What if you won a free trip to space?

  3. What if you found a time machine?

  4. What if you could switch places with your teacher for a day?

  5. What if your favorite movie character came to life?

5) Exit Ticket 

  • Instructions:

    • Each student writes one sentence using each conditional (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).

    • Before leaving, they share their sentences with a partner.

Example:

  1. If it rains tomorrow, I will stay home. (1st conditional)

  2. If I were a millionaire, I would buy a big house. (2nd conditional)

  3. If I had studied more, I would have passed the test. (3rd conditional)

6) Board Race: Fill in the Conditional

  • Instructions:

    • Divide the class into two teams.

    • Write half of a conditional sentence on the board (e.g., If I won the lottery, …).

    • One student from each team races to complete the sentence correctly.

    • The teacher awards points for accuracy and creativity.
